My name is Terry (TJ to my friends) and this is my online home. I’m a writer and a Video Storyteller with Kevin Henry Mileposts.
For a long time, I thought life was about spending most of my time doing things I didn’t want to do, so I’d have a little time left, now and then, for what I loved. I finally realized that wasn’t living at all. It was a form of spiritual house arrest.
At the beginning of 2013, I made a life-changing decision. I left a dismal corporate job I hated and resolved never to waste my time or sacrifice my mental and physical health doing something I wasn’t meant to do, and I began to devote my energy and efforts to those things I was passionate about – creating with words and pictures. I’m seeking to perfect my craft, dream more, experience true life, true freedom, good writing, art, film, and music; and find the perfect cup of coffee.
Chasing the Horizon is a chronicle of my journeys in this new and true life. It’s about finding passion & purpose, and going after them with all you’ve got. Life is too short to be spent doing things you don’t want to do, yet so many of us feel stuck in that very situation. I hope by sharing my story, thoughts and experiences I can help you seek your own ideal life and find your own freedom.
Others have inspired me and proven that dreams are attainable and the life you want is out there waiting for you, and now I’m proving it myself, step-by-step, day-by-day.
The lives we dream about won’t just come to us. We have to work for them and go get them; but I’ve learned that working for yourself and your dreams, is infinitely better than “working for a living.”

I’m happy you found me here, and I hope you find something to inspire you. Perhaps you’ll start to see your own horizon and chase it with all your heart.
